Delicious local beef bourginon with root vegetables in a luxurious red wine sauce with shallots, mushrooms and Great Garnetts smoked bacon
I follow the Julia Childs recipe and it includes hand peeled shallots, heaps of smoked bacon and sooooo much wine - Last year I used 10 bottles of red wine to cook the beef in!
The dish is so deliciously rich and will easily impress your friends and family, great with mash, better with dauphinois and lots of veg!
